Some of you are doing great work with your journals - these are going to be great ways to demonstrate what you are learning and you need to stay focused on these. I have put comments on those that I can and have commented on the weekly grades in some cases. This is how I'm going to be grading work from now on - so make sure you're getting at least three good posts per week. Trust me when I tell you that they will pay great dividends in the future. You're building your own learning diary and reference tool.
Some of you are still not putting screen captures of your in-progress work on your journals - I've created a video that shows how to do this and it's posted below this post. This week we're going to start a major project - a self portrait in Adobe Illustrator. If you haven't completed the Illustrator Exercises from last week you need to complete those before trying to start the self-portrait project. We're also going to begin taking group portraits in all of the shops this Tuesday. If you haven't been making required posts to your journal you will not be eligible to go out on these photo shoots. I've found a great tool to help you understand the manual settings of our cameras and I'd like you to try this simulator out: |
