Creating your Career Portfolio
As part of this class you are required to put together an Art Portfolio. We will be creating a web-based portfolio of the work you create in Commercial Art & Graphics here at TCHS Pickering.
While you are enrolled in this class we will be placing all project work on a blog-style page for assessment. Analog work (drawings, sketches, paintings, sculpture, prints) will need to be scanned or photographed. Digital work will need to be saved in a web-friendly format (jpg, png, or svg.) These formats will allow you to share the work on your digital portfolio.
Your portfolio represents you! Your portfolio should help others understand your skills, interests and passions. Your final portfolio should show a good range of work using different medias. There should be both analog and digitally-created works on your site.

- a well-designed resume
- a well designed skills list that includes versions of software you've used and analog media and equipment that you've worked with while here.
- a reference list
- writing samples - Career Plan, Job Shadow Essay, Introductory Letter
