I am still too dizzy to drive - I'm following doctor's orders and hope to be back by tomorrow. I have been doing some work while I've been out. I am looking at a different class management system called Google Classroom. I want to evaluate using Google Classroom with our class and I will need your input and assistance. I've set up our class and posted a few activities. Now I'm going to ask you to join the class and try working with the activities I've posted so far. You will need your Google Drive username and password to sign up for the class. Once you're logged onto Google Drive you can open a new tab and go to http://classroom.google.com. The class key is 5mh7u3f I have placed three different types of activities for you to work on today. Try to complete the SkillsUSA competition by end of class tomorrow. Post your opinions of Google Classroom on the announcement that was posted there. Is it easy to use? Is it clearer in what you're supposed to do? Let me know what you think in the announcement. One thing I like about Google Classroom is the ability for students to post to the page. Students can share videos, websites, images, and documents that are related to what we are working on at any given time. I will call in early during both class periods - 8:15 for the morning class and 12:15 for the afternoon class. If you can't recall your Google Drive username and password I will be able to give them to you during that call. Be well and create something awesome today. I apologize for being out another day - trust me I'd rather be there with you all. Here is a mini project that you can work on today. This image is an photo made up of other photos. One idea you might want to try is to have your photo be the main photo, and use images of friends to make up the mini-photos.
The step-by-step directions are available at this link: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/photo-fill/ Below is a sample image of a finished project. Try to be creative with this. I will call in during both class sessions if you have questions about this. Remember to hold the shift key when using the rectangular marquis tool to make a symmetrical square selection. |
